Hey, it’s Jack here with the eighth update to the Wizard Tower Game.
For this week I focused more on the inventory system that I plan to implement in the game. The reason for this is because I want the player to be able select from a spell on a toolbar and then launch that selected spell whenever they press the shoot button.
In the above image, the white squares with the capital letter T on them represent items that I’ve added in the actual game. Each square corresponds to a different item, and when I walk over them they’re supposed to be added to the player’s inventory or toolbar.
I showed the toolbar I plan to use last week, but before I can actually use it as a real inventory menu I need to make sure that the items themselves are represented properly.
In the next week I plan to add more about the underlying inventory system.
