Week 6 Progress

Hey, it’s Jack here with the sixth update to the Wizard Tower Game. For this week I decided to replace the old health bar with one that I made myself.

It’s rather simplistic in design in that the health bar itself is red but I made the health bar background a dark wooden color and the area around the heart icon a lighter wooden color. The game is supposed to take place in a world of magic after all and so I’d like the UI elements to fit in with that theme a little bit.

As shown in the clip above, the health bar is functional and depletes when the player takes damage as it should.

When the player loses all of their health, the player is simply destroyed for now.

The next thing I’m going to work on is replacing the inventory system from the one I used in the tutorial to one that will better suit the theme of the game in picking up power-ups such as new spells.
